Worksop Town Hall is an impressive Grade II Listed Building and has recently been restored to its former glory. It offers two function rooms, the Ceres Suite and the Assembly Room, which can each hold up to 200 guests. Catering is provided by a kitchen which has been recently refurbished by BETTAquip for Bassetlaw District Council.
The catering facilities were outdated and had surface finishes that did not comply with the regulations contained within the Food Safety Act. BETTAquip was awarded the contract to refurbish the kitchens and install new equipment on two floors. The electrical, mechanical and ventilation system also needed bringing up to current standards.
The electrical and mechanical services were stripped back to source and new electrical distribution boards were installed for the kitchen. This allows for easy isolation and identification of the circuits.
To ensure the highest standards of hygiene new wall cladding, flooring and ceiling were installed. A PVC wall cladding system was provides a virtually joint free finish and as it was formed on-site it is an exact fit for the walls to be covered. This finish is extremely easy to clean and requires no maintenance. The same joint free hygiene standards were applied to the floor in the form of Altro slip resistant flooring with coved skirting for easy cleaning. The ceiling is a simple plastic faced plasterboard suspended system that is easy to clean and provides access to the area above.

To comply with gas safety regulations, the new canopy has integral extraction and temperature controlled fresh air supply to ensure a safe working environment. The flow of gas is controlled via a gas solenoid valve and interlock control panel to conform with Gas Safety Regulations.
